Which cross to wear?

There are different crosses in the Christian religion, all derived from the True Cross, on which our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. They all have their own history and meaning.

The Latin cross is a symbol of Christianity, recalling the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

It consists of a long vertical bar on which rests a shorter horizontal bar. The cross is symbolized by saying that the vertical bar represents the link between Heaven and Earth, and the horizontal bar is the symbol of communion between human beings.

This symbol is used by Catholics and Protestants alike.

The Orthodox cross, also known as the Byzantine or Russian cross, differs from the Latin cross in its shape.

It is composed of three horizontal bars, the highest symbolizing the inscription INRI, and the lowest the feet of Christ. The upper vertical bar is tilted forward as a sign of adoration, and the lower horizontal bar is tilted slightly upwards, symbolizing the repentance of the malefactor who was crucified alongside Jesus.

This is the cross used by the Orthodox Church. However, it is also used by some Eastern Catholic Churches.

The Orthodox Cross is a symbol of Christ's resurrection and victory over death. It reminds us of the importance of worship and repentance in our Christian lives.

The Celtic Cross was first and foremost a Celtic symbol. When the Christians arrived on their soil and converted, the Celts reused this ancient symbol, which in fact was already the right one. Indeed, the Celts already believed in a divine trinity, but not in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In short, the Celtic Cross symbolizes the meeting of these two cultures, Celtic and Christian.

The Celtic Cross has equal arms and a circle in the center, symbolizing God's infinity and eternity.

Wearing the Saint-Benoit Cross is a good way for Christians to protect themselves against evil forces, danger and the devil's temptations. It is often associated with exorcism.

The cross is adorned with several symbols, including the letters C-S-P-B (Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti, “Cross of the Holy Father Benedict”), and the initials V-R-S-N-S-M-V-S-M-Q-L-I-V-B (Vade retro Satana, nunquam suade mihi vana - Sunt mala quae libas, Ipse venena bibas, “Withdraw, Satan, never tempt me with your vanities - What you offer is evil, drink your poison yourself”).

Other inscriptions include CSSML (Crux Sacra Sit mihi lux, “May the Holy Cross be my light”) and NDSMD (Non draco sit mihi dux, “May the dragon not be my guide”).

The Templar Cross is also known as the Cross of the Knights Templar. It is the symbol used by the Knights Templar.

It is characterized by two equal bars and patté ends.

The cross symbolizes the values upheld by the Knights Templar, our Christian faith and chivalry.

Why wear a cross?

There are many reasons to wear a Jewel Cross. Whether it's for affirmation, remembrance, protection or complete devotion, there's every reason to give thanks to God.

The cross is a powerful symbol. It represents the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and His glorious Resurrection!

Wearing a cross is a powerful symbol of Christian faith. As the best-known symbol of Christianity, it recalls the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on faith to redeem the sins of mankind. By wearing a cross, you show your attachment to the Church of Christ and to Christian values.

It's a good way of showing your faith to others. Occasionally, people may notice your cross and ask what it means. This can be an opportunity to start a discussion and share your faith.

The Cross recalls Jesus' sacrifice for humanity. It is the symbol of Christ's Resurrection for us sinners.

By wearing a cross pendant or earrings, we remember what has been done for us, by Him. We remember that He deserves all our gratitude for His love and mercy. We are also reminded that we owe it to ourselves to imitate Him, to carry our cross, through trials and difficulty, keeping faith in God!

We can also think of the Cross as a means of protection. Indeed, the Cross is a reminder of God's presence in our lives.

It brings a great sense of comfort and security, reminding us that God is always watching over us and protecting us. What's more, we know that demons hate Jesus and therefore his Cross. So we might think that the Cross keeps them away from us.

Wearing a cross, around our neck for example, can help strengthen our faith and trust in God.

When we carry a cross, we often think of God. You see it in the mirror, you lower your waist, you feel it close to your heart, you touch it. The cross is a superb way of thinking more frequently about God, and thus worshipping him even more.

You can also use the cross as an object of prayer. By holding it in your hands, you can concentrate and meditate more deeply on the Mysteries of God.

Our silver jewelry is made from a well-known alloy: S925 silver. This is a 92.5% pure silver alloy. It's the most widely used precious metal in jewelry, because it's affordable, resistant and less likely to tarnish than 100% pure silver, as well as being an anti-allergenic material.

Our stainless steel jewelry is also highly resistant and durable. They don't rust or tarnish easily. This makes them ideal for everyday use. Like silver, stainless steel is a hypoallergenic metal, perfect for sensitive skin.

These jewels are finely crafted by our partner jewelers and available in a variety of styles: crosses, rosaries, medallions, bracelets and more.

You're sure to find a piece of jewelry to suit your taste and budget at Christian Jewelry™.

There are several ways to wear a cross. The most common is to wear it around the neck with a chain or cord. At Christian Jewelry™, we offer alternative ways such as a bracelet, earrings or even a ring. These are more original ways of wearing it.

The choice is yours and depends on your personal taste and style. The most important thing is to wear the cross with respect and remember its meaning.

The difference between a cross and a crucifix lies solely in the representation of Jesus on the Cross.

The simple, empty cross is simply a symbol of the Christian religion, representing Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, without the representation of his body.

The crucifix, on the other hand, represents Jesus on the cross, with his body nailed to it.

Thus, the crucifix is considered more symbolic than the simple cross, as it is a more explicit reminder of Jesus' sacrifice for Christians.

Protestants reject the use of the crucifix because they believe it represents the Death rather than the Resurrection of Christ.

Yes, it is permitted to wear a cross.

However, there may be exceptions in certain public places, such as the école de la république, or other government institutions.
